Violette de Mazia Foundation
The Violette de Mazia Foundation has developed an ‘In-Service Arts Training Program,’ as well as a ‘Summer Art Institute’ intended to help educators weave the objective approach to art appreciation into their curriculum.
Educators are taught the major concepts of our approach and are then asked to prepare a lesson plan based on the concept. By the end of the program, groups will have developed a curriculum for teaching aesthetic education units to their students. This program becomes an efficient and effective route to expanding aesthetic education to schoolchildren.
In addition to our courses designed specifically for educators, we also Act 48 credit hours through the sponsorship of the Philadelphia Arts in Education Partnership and the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts for many of our courses. Please click here to send an e-mail to the Foundation with questions regarding Act 48 Credit Hours.
